RECORDING TERMS
When booking a recording session at Teghen music group, you are entering into a contract by which u are agreeing unconditionally on behalf of the artist or band to abide by the studio’s terms and conditions as stated below.
BOOKING A RECORDING SESSION
Session bookings, time and date are subject to availability and approval from a member of the Teghen team. Teghen music reserves the right to refuse and reschedule any confirmed bookings. Bookings are made by the following methods only website, and numbers are not valid until confirmed and deposit paid.
PAYMENT
Payments can be made by cash, credit and debit card and confirmed. It is the responsibility of the artist to cover the cost of each session in full either in advance or on the day of the session before the recording. A 50 percent deposit is required to confirm all bookings by phone, or when booking online, payment will be taken in full. This deposit is non refundable or transferable. The balance of the studio bill should be paid in full on the first day of the session, a late payment will lead to an additional fee of 10 percent of the balance, and refusal to pay may lead to prosecution depending on the parties involved. If the artist doesn’t make any calls or show that payment has been deposited, it will result in loss of money and it’s non refundable. Failure to produce full payment will result in the studio withholding session time. All copies of recordings, master or session files will be withheld until all fees are paid and declared. You must pay the full amount you booked, it’s not the studio’s responsibility to manage your studio time. If the recording session takes more time than was booked for, payments will be required in advance or either in installments to cover up the excess time that has been used. Teghen music group reserves the rights to implement this payment terms were applicable. All session files are deleted from Teghen music hard drive 90 days after the session completion unless otherwise specified. Please bring a backup storage device if you require your multi-tracks.
CONTRIBUTION OF IDEA BY THE ARTIST TO TE SOUND ENGINEER
The artist as the rights to contribute idea to the sound engineer but if the idea sounds meaningless to the sound engineer, he has the right to ignore and reject the idea because he is a professional in that field, so if an artist is coming for recording he/she must be fully sure that they are coming to a professional and not an amateur
CANCELLATION
A 24 hours’ notice is required for cancellation of a session, this includes weekends and public holidays. If a session is canceled with less than 24 hours notice, full payment will be required to book a further session. Cancellations as a result of poor weather conditions such as rainstorms will be rescheduled.
BREAKAGES AND DAMAGES TO STUDIO EQUIPMENT
Any damage caused to any studio equipment due to misuse, abuse, or fights will be charged to the artist, band, guest or individual concerned. Refusal to pay damages will lead to exclusions or prosecutions. If an item or equipment is missing at the start of your session, please report it to the session technician, engineer or any available studio worker immediately else you will be held responsible.
PERSONAL ITEMS AND LOST PROPERTIES
Please make sure you take all personal items or belongings with you because Teghen music is not responsible for any lost or damaged personal items on the premises.
GUESTS
Clients are allowed a maximum of 8 guests when recording, Teghen music must be given 24 hours when requesting an additional guess. Clients must get approval from Teghen music staff member prior to showing up with an additional guest.
SMOKING
Smoking is not permitted anywhere inside the studio complex. If you leave the premises to smoke, make sure that you are at a safe distance from the studio and your cigarette stubs are disposed of appropriately. When leaving or entering the studio remember that the studio door must be kept closed all the time because any theft of equipment as a result of a door left open will be charged on the individual concerned.
FOOD AND DRINKS
You are permitted to bring your food and non-alcoholic drinks, however, this must not be placed on any equipment of the studio under any circumstances. Please store and eat your food and drinks in the lounge area. Any damage caused to studio equipment due to spillages and negligence with food and drinks will be charged as per our damage policy above. Please help us to keep the studio clean by putting all trash in the trash can.
RECORDING TIPS
Be on time and prepared. Bring your instrumental or have download link ready Bring hard drive or flash to take your files upon completion.
